What is Strabismus?
Strabismus, commonly referred to as “crossed eyes” or “eye misalignment,” occurs when the eyes do not look in the same direction at the same time. One eye may turn inward, outward, upward, or downward while the other eye looks straight ahead. This condition can be constant or intermittent and may affect one or both eyes.
Strabismus can lead to vision problems such as double vision, poor depth perception, and amblyopia (lazy eye), especially in children. Early diagnosis and treatment are essential for preventing long-term visual impairment.
